I've got it and cut the cable. Now I can't get WatchEspn through my internet provider, who was also my cable provider. Just need it for SECN+

Sure as hell does. Still will save $100/month. Will see if it's worth it. Probably should have waited til LSU baseball season was over.

Surely you have to know someone that will let you use their login info for that.

I had Sling and dropped it. Spotty service, no locals, can use only on one device at a time.

I took the trial. My Internet is spotty out here in the woods. I like the idea, if i lived in city with better Internet speeds i would have kept it.

Just pay the $150 for Uverse and be down with the issues.

I signed up last week using the 50% off Roku 3 deal. I was in the market for a Roku anyway, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on what is essentially a 3 month free trial of Sling TV. So far, I am enjoying having access to ESPN and TBS/TNT for sports. Soon they are supposed to be adding AMC which will be nice...

Complaints: 1. video quality is sub par when compared to cable. You don't get anywhere near 1080p (Cox may only offer 1080i, not sure) resolution, it tops out at 720p for most networks while ESPN is a little bit lower than that.

2. The interface on the sling apps is pretty clunky. It takes some getting used to.

3. can only be used on one device at a time.

Overall, I think it is probably worth the $20/month though. Obviously I'll reevaluate after my 3 months are up.

I thought I saw SECN as part of the sports package.

What do you pay for internet ?

I too thought like this years ago, when I "cut the cable"

$65 for internet
$6 for Hulu
$8 for Netflix
$10 for Amazon
$25 for Sling

I don't have all of those services, but as you can see, it adds up..
