Just purchased a new Acer laptop and it is just loaded with preinstalled apps and programs. I've removed the obvious ones using the Uninstall/Remove Program function. The ones I've found and removed are mostly unnecessary Acer programs and WildTangent Games.

Is there a quality and free program available to root out and make sure that all of these trash programs are gone?

Honestly, I would just nuke the machine and reinstall just Windows and the apps you want. By the time you go through uninstalling everything and dealing with any remnant issues from those apps, you'd probably spend less time and heartache just starting from bare bones.

This.

I did that with my Lenovo, and that was before they were loading there laptops with half a hard drive full of garbage.
