I have a computer, a projector that is connected to the computer, and an iphone. I want to display what is on my iphone onto the computer/projector.

Any ideas?

You need an iPhone hole to computer hole wire

An AirServer license might be cheaper than what Apple would charge for an adapter cable.

1) send the file from iPhone to computer per email
2) connect computer to projector via appropriate hole cord.
3) play
4) profit

You can get a lightning to VGA adapter from the Apple store. Go direct from iPad to projector, no computer needed.

Lighting to HDMI if the projector is worth a damn

But my projector is in the middle of a classroom on the ceiling. The wire would be hanging down I'm assuming? Can't have that. I really need to go iPhone hole to computer hole.

If the projector is mounted to the ceiling, there still has to be a way to connect to it. How do you connect the computer to the projector? You would simply disconnect the computer and plug in the iPad using a Lightning to HDMI or Lightning to VGA.

If you can get your phone on the school's network, a mirroring application would be easy. Or if you have an ELMO, use that. ELMO to PC, PC to projector.

From the earlier post, it looks like a Lightning to VGA adapter would be the trick.
