Walmart.com seems to be matching Prime prices without requiring membership

I need to purchase a Wagner HVLP and its $80 at Home Depot and Lowe's.
Ebay was a joke. Prices were the same or way over the Home Depot/Lowes prices.
Then I checked Amazon and it was $66.12 but "only available to prime members" (i cancelled my prime a month after that little tjmaxx sale awhile back)
Amazon Wagner $66.12 PRIME required to purchase
For grins I went to Walmart and there it is..identical price but NO $100 entry fee required.
Walmart $66.12
Before you start to 'do you even sales tax bro', I live in TN and get charged sales tax for Amazon purchases so this is an identical match for me.
Seems Amazon and Walmart are ratcheting up the competition. This is the the 6th or 7th purchase I've made from Walmart online in the last month. Their prices are on point.
Competition is a good thing! Walmart and Amazon are actively raiding each other's pricing databases.

Shipping.
There are plenty of items that you can find for a similar price to Prime.
Having said that, how about you select 2 day shipping with any of those matching sites and get back to me on the price.

Then it isn't the same. Only poors wait three days when the elite get it in two.

I stopped ordering from them when my order was delayed, lost then they reported it was destroyed.

I've got to side with Myth here. I've had nothing but problems with their online shipping. And God forbid you have to call customer service.
Last thing I ordered from Amazon that didn't make it's delivery date they let me keep for free. It took an email, and I had a response within 3 hours. No fuss. Item showed up the following day.

i'm not saying walmart is the bee knees..far from it..but i'm encouraged to see someone actually go up against amazon..this is a good thing ultimately.
amazon is really the only game in town still, but if anyone has deep enough pockets to challenge them, its going to be walmart.

It's not even about price. I buy things on Amazon with full knowledge that I could get it cheaper somewhere else.
On walmart, the free shipping option on that sprayer is showing a delivery date of October 21 for me. October 19 if I select the $4.97 option. $8.75 if I want it Friday, or $14.72 if I want it Thursday.
On Amazon, it would get here Thursday (free 2-day w/prime). Or, for $6, it'll be on my front porch tomorrow.
I'm glad Walmart is trying to step up their game, but Amazon wins again.

$50 minimum for free shipping. And Wal-Mart has a lot to learn from Amazon about order picking and secure packing. Almost every order I've placed with WM has had something go wrong. In fairness WM has always corrected the problem with no questions asked, but it's still annoying. BTW, not all shipments arrive in 3 days. I've waited as long as ten days in a few cases.

While I don't dispute the adage that competition is generally a good thing, I'm not craving some competitor for Amazon, considering Amazon is already awesome.

Try jet.com.
I've used them several times and have been more than pleased.
