Hey guys random question

The fiber unit that's in my garage that powers my internet has been beeping. I called att and they said the battery is out and it's up to me to replace it. Does this sound right?

It's plugged in so the battery is just a backup so I don't know why it's dead, but anyways just curious is this was standard or not.

I think my Comcast WIFI router was that way. They wanted $40 for the battery. So I ordered a WIFI router without battery backup. It is plugged into a UPS that cost $35 and has several other items plugged into it....

We stopped installing bbu's for new installs and replacements on repairs last June or July, so yeah it's up to you to replace it.

Order the battery on the internet for the best price. It's like a car battery, lasts about three years.
