TV setup question

Right now, we have our TV on the wall in our family room with a banquet under it, and the electronics (cable box, reciever, etc...) on top of the banquet.
We are going to put a gas fireplace on that wall, under the TV. We won't have anyplace to put the cable box and reciever, so we are going to have to run wires behind the wall a fair distance to the nearest place where we can put those things.
My question is, is there a decent wireless hub that we can connect our electronics to that will allow us to stream cable/internet to the TV? I don't want anything that is glitchy, or that I have to fiddle around with all the time, but looking for something that just works as if everything was hardwired to the TV.

There is no replacement for a hardwire. IO Gear makes some so wireless HD kits that I've used but they are not bullet proof.

2nd the IO Gear equipment - I used it in a conference room setup and it worked well...but it definitely takes a little getting used to to tweak your setup.
