TV out of storage question

I've had my 55 inch LED and a 27 inch LCD tv in storage since July here in Illinois. It's 38 degrees today and just got them from storage do I need to let these adjust to room temperature before turning them on? I'm assuming with hot weather from the summer to now colder they might be fricked but just curious if anyone has any recommendations. TIA

I would give it some time to warm up to room temperature before plugging it in. I left my cell phone in the truck over night a few weeks ago and it got down into the 30s. My screen has been acting crazy ever since. Not sure if it is due to the weather, but why chance it.

If the storage unit was not climate controlled, which I assume it was not, then temperature may not be the only thing to worry about. There may be significant moisture due to humidity. Everyone knows how moisture and electronics get along.

It was climate controlled but it was still chilly in there. We also had moisture bags in there just in case. It's an outdoor access unit so that's why it was a bit chilly and warmer in the summer

Check the product manual. Most electronics are rated to operate at 32F (or 0C for you metric types) and can actually operate below that. But your manual will tell you.

I have had a TV on my screen porch for about 10 years. I have turned that thing on multiple occasions when the temperature was below freezing.
