I ordered through the purchase portal that my work qualifies us for
It's called perks at work and directs us to Samsung supplier pricing
I got lucky and ordered on a day when they were offering 20x points Samsung purchases so I got 270 bucks in points too
Slickdeals has some info on how to get access if you don't have it. People were selling invites to other members

No it's clear as day. I don't use Cox since I left BR. People complain about the quality of Cox no matter what kind of TV you have, escpecially in the 4K realm. I work at Amazon, so I performed a qualitative analysis on price variances on our website and the price for the HG was bar non the cheapest for that kind of television I could find for under $600 bucks.

55" UHD TV, this seems to be a good deal at $549

I don't know. It has HDR. I don't know what 10 bit HDR is. For $549, I don't expect it to be top of the line, everything, but it is a 4K TV with HDR from LG. That is a great value.

A 10 bit panel can do over a billion color and really take advantage of HDR content. Color and brightness are two key factors for HDR.

Yeah what TigerWise said, i've had my eyes glued to the internet for the past couple weeks looking to replace my current TV. Ideally i would like a 50"+ 4k with 10bit panel HDR. If anyone finds a good deal lets keep this post updated.
Might have to wait until black friday though to get that good deal

Thanks for the recommendation, one quick ignorant question...how do you check what resolution the TV is in at any given moment? When I flip between devices I like to check...on my old TV you just pressed an info button...this TV I can't figure it out

Well it's going to upscale everything to 4K so I'm not sure it would even display that info. I'll check when I'm in front one later.
Also there is a setting in one of the picture menus called expert viewing setting or something like that. Go in there in turn the HDR feature on. It takes non HDR content and upscales it, for the lack of a better word, to HDR.

Press the home button, select your source, top right corner.

That doesn't tell you was resolution the actual TV is in, that just tells you the type of signal it is receiving. The TV resolution can't change. Such as on a normal 1080p HD tv it may be getting a 720p signal from your box, but it's still up scaling it to 1080 if that makes sense
