Thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy S5

I am looking in to upgrading my old phone Galaxy S3.
My wife has the S5 and really likes it. I have looked around some, I want to stay with an android phone. The S5 seems like a pretty solid phone
I looked at the S6 but it seems like they took some of the features away that I like (removable battery and micro card)
Thanks in advance for any input

I can only speak for the s6 but I love it and wasn't crazy about the 4

I have the S5. It does the job.
Battery lasts about 1.5 days. No issues. I reboot it about once every two weeks for the fun of it.
The only complaint is the USB 3.0 connector. That means I have to carry the cord that came with it vs a regular USB connector like almost every other phone uses (except IPhone).

Thanks,
My wife uses her old charge from her S3 at work. She said that the port on the S5 is set up to work with both.

You do know that the old connector still works right?

You can still use the old chargers. The 3.0 just charges faster. My s5 is charging on my kindle charger as we speak.

have it, like it but get the S6 why buy an outdated phone?

Don't do it especially it it's 16 gb version. Its bloated beyond belief. It has about 8 gb worth of system apps that can't be deleted without rooting. This only leaves about 7 or 8 available gbs of memory for user. Once the internal memory gets close to full it will perform like crap.
It's skinned so heavily that it lags even with flagship like specs. Samsungs version of lollipop is buggy and hideous looking. It really gives Android a bad name as most associate the entire android platform with the galaxy brand.
If you must stick with samsung then I would suggest the Note line of products or get the galaxy 6 as the base model starts at 32 gbs and it will perform better longer. The galaxy 6 edge does have the best hardware and build quality of any phone ever and touch wiz is tolerable with Nova luncher.

I have the S5 and it is really a solid phone. I'm not sure what people are using their phone for who say it is buggy and bloated. Sure it has a bunch of Samsung and Verizon shite on it you can't remove without rooting, but what phone doesn't these days?
Good camera. Great battery. Fast. Solid phone.
