I'll have to try that. Maybe that's why it's just not reading it well for whatever reason.

Does it let you switch inputs on the receiver? Because everytime I try to do that it just switches the TV inputs which obviously isn't what I'm trying to do.

I was watching some 4k vids on YouTube yesterday and man the picture looks pretty fantastic.

Well, I switched to the ARC input like you said. I cN control uverse box through the receiver just fine. But the only thing I can control on the receiver is the volume after its already turned on. It doesn't turn on with the TV.

Not sure there, the volume up button turned my old one on, and my new one turns on automatically with TV via the power button of the Smart remote.

How are you liking the UI?

Oh also, if you haven't already or it hasn't, go into the tv settings and check for an update, there has been 2 updates in the month or so I've had mine, current version should be 1121.

I like the UI a lot and I like the picture so far alot. Really the only negative for me has been not able to get this set up. Which is super aggravating because it would be awesome to have this all set up and just work with hdmi pass through.

I've deleted it out and reset up the receiver and uverse box multiple times now. The uverse aspect works ok until I turn the TV/receiver off and then it sometimes stops. I just don't get how I can control the receiver volume, turn it off with the TV, but it won't let me turn it on or control the inputs from the receiver.

Yep, it's already got 1121.

I've double checked my actual receiver settings and all Hdmi pass through settings are on. One thing I find really strange is that when I first go through the set up is the receiver keeps getting switched to the "TV" input...when I don't have a TV input. I have to keep manually switching to CAT/SAT.

Hmm yeah no idea. Once I switched mine from optical to hdmi arc it set up perfectly. Before it wouldn't even show it as a receiver, even when changing the volume, and if I changed the volume level while on the PS4, it would switch to the TV input and DirecTV.

But now it turns on and off with the power button, and works seamlessly across all inputs, with the smart remote.

Yours shows receiver in the source tab right? And when you change the volume you see the little receiver icon pop up with the + or -?

Or if you turn on the ps4 and press the volume button should also still this receiver volume change icon...

ETA: I just discovered you can turn on and off the PS4 with the Smart remote. Nice.
