I'm looking to take the plunge on a new 4k set while the Super Bowl deals are on. Anybody else in the same boat? Please post any deals you find.

The best deal i'm seeing right now is a 60" Vizio M series for $950 at Sam's. I like the M for price to value purposes. $1000 is about my max right now. This is the best price I've seen on this model since Black Friday, but quantities were limited and it sold out then.

I'm also looking for a good deal -- anywhere from 43 to 65 (it could go in my bedroom or I could move the Living Room TV to my bedroom).

I really could care less about 4K at this point, too. Just HD and smart is all I Want.

they have one for $800 on there now. i hadn't heard anything about people buying tv's from warehouse. i assume you haven't had an issue with yours? i may jump on that since it's about $250 savings when you factor in tax.

i'm with you on the 4k. the problem is the better tv's are basically all 4k. i don't want to pay for 4k, but i want a quality set. that's why i like the M series - it has a lot of the higher end features without as big of a 4k markup.

if you watch a lot of sports you may not be happy with the Vizio.

Vizio M Series Rating

Or at the very least, go to Best Buy or Sams and watch the tv for a while with a sporting event on.

You can get a Sony 810C 55" for the same price and it's a much better pic.

Was going to buy the exact TV you are looking at and after watching a live Basket Ball game for about 10 min I was very pleased.

And make sure you pay close attention to the real Hz on the TV. Companies use words like "True Motion" and such.. It's not real measurements.

The M in the 55" and 60" is a true 120hz but a crappy pic.

I bit on the M60 at $800. Regarding the Rtings review, I have read some critiques on AVS forum that point out several flaws in the methodology. Also, the TV has gone through several firmware updates since that review - it was done right as the new M series was released. That said, I'm going to DVR the super bowl and if it has issues, I will return it.

After watching a Vizio power cycle multiple times at a relatives house while watching Football, I am staying away from Vizio.

I just bought the Sony XBR55X810C from Amazon for 898.00 and free shipping plus us patrick50 code and you'll get a 50.00 credit. TV really is great with a fantastic picture.

i bought a samsung 55" through amazon warehouse. it came in and had a few back light pixel issues shining through, so i contacted samsung directly and they said it was still under warranty and replaced the tv with a new one (the display, not the plastic frame). so i was able to get a brand new tv for the cost of the warehouse price, saved about 200.00

good to hear. not much risk in it with amazon. i have returned other warehouse deals in the past with no issue, but i'd obviously just rather the tv work. i'm debating buying the square trade open box warranty in case vizio won't honor it. anybody gone that route?

Unless you absolutely need a tv now, I'd hold off. Mainstream OLED models are coming onto the market now. While still pricey, the price should come down over the next couple years just like when LCD was first introduced.

OLED can have significant upgrade in picture quality (infinite contrast ratio and extremely fast response times). I'd rather have a OLED 1080p tv than a LED 4K tv.

In the US, no stations even broadcast 1080p still. You have to stream or download it. I think DirectTV and cable may offer 1080p, but it's only for pay per view or on demand.

Even if you had 4K content to watch, I'd bet OLED 1080p would look better in most cases. And there won't be any significant 4K content for many years.

i don't disagree with any of what you said. i planned to wait for OLED's to come down. unfortunately, i do need a tv now, and the 4k sets offer better features than current 1080p sets for the most part. the vizio i went went seems to be the best value.

Well my Amazon warehouse TV came in today. The shippers opened the box and pulled out a shiny used 55 inch LG P.O.S.

So that didn't work out. Can't find any decent deal on the TV now. That's what I get for being cheap.

If there are more 4k programs and it's streamed, oh lord. ATT has a data cap at 250gb and they supposedly charge an extra 10$ for 50gb over the 250gb. That will go INSANELY fast if 4k content is constantly streamed.

My Amazon warehouse delivery for a 65" Sony 4k came in a couple of days ago. The screen was totally crushed and fricked.

You never know with these guys--my first "big screen" several years ago was a 50". I heard the truck pull up and watched the guy drop it from the back of the truck on to the street. Made him load it back. He was not happy.

what sucks about mine is the delivery guys were awesome. they took it out of box and were about to put it on the stand and test for me. i guess it's a common amazon scam to send your old item back in the new item box for a refund since this is second time it has happened to me
