I thought that iPhones were more simple in design and not as sophisticated as droids?

I use an iPhone because I have far too many options on my Android device. I'm literally addicted to tinkering with all things tech, but I'm really against the idea of being constantly keyed into another device. So, I use an iPhone to get the best of both worlds. It's really just because I lack self control.

Can't even spell iPhone correctly.

No, but on second look I see the genius spells it I-Phone and not iPhone like it is written everywhere else, especially the linked article.
Now I'm looking at the source and it's correlation=causation at its worst.

Typical nerds. Can't see the forest for the trees. Thought it might stimulate some worthwhile discussion on this board. Guess I was wrong.

If they were really that smart they would be using Android.

Not surprising, most professionals I know use Apple products. I do too, but I have switched to Android for phone/tablet.

So in other words, in states with more poor people who buy non contract and/or very inexpensive phones which are never an apple phone, the per capita ownership of iphones is lower. Statistics and damn statistics.

What profession? In the engineering field I don't see many apple products, just a few phones. My daughter wanted an android because all her grandparents have iPhones though.

I see a frick ton in the power industry. iPads fricking everywhere. Blackberry seems to be the most popular for corporate phones though, a few corporate iphones. Hardly ever seen Android unless it's a personal phone.
For personal phones, it's a pretty even mix of Android, Apple, and the people who refuse to get a smart phone. Android people around here tend to be the ones who want something cheap and don't have the newest phones.

Just what an iPhone user WOULD think

Aren't you doing the "=causation" part?
I don't see anything in the article that says "Being smart causes people to buy iPhones"

The article wants us to infer it, but I get what you're saying. I'd be willing to bet that the suicide rate is higher among iPhone users, and more pedophiles have iPhones, as do crack dealers, and right-handed people who masturbate with their left hand. That's the magic of statistics when X brand dominates the market share.
