Something within my calendar's settings has changed since I've updated to ios 10. When I click on my battery usage data, it says my calendar is using over 60% battery with background activity. I'm not sure what background activity is actually going on since I switched from push to fetch and turned off background app refreshing.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Maybe location services is enabled.

That's a shite load of battery for any app to be using on a phone.

iOS 10 lets you delete the calendar app.

I use the google calendar app.

Are all location services off or just for the calendar?

If you use Waze, check the setting to remind you when to leave for a calendar event. That has killed my battery in the past when it was on.
