Netflix app wont load on smart tv app.

Can stream netflix perfectly on phone and tablet.

Is this a common problem for smart tvs? The netflix app is preinstalled and is updated.

You probably have to register the device with Netflix and provide your account information. There should be some on-screen instructions for that or, as a last resort, RTFM.

What error message are you getting?

You have an account?

Unplug tv from wall and wait a minute. Plug back in and try again

I can run Netflix four different ways at my house:

1.) Native Netflix App for my LG Smart TV (superior browsing and watching experience IMO).
2.) Apple TV (not as nice of a UI as LG's setup)
3.) Mirror using iPad.
4.) Mirror using iPhone.

I agree though. If your best or preferable option is watching via the TV, reset the TV and leave it off.

Our year-old 65" Samsung Smart TV - which we bought largely for Netflix - has never been able stream the service despite having the functionality built in.

We're forced to stream through a Samsung Blu Ray player - which has plenty of problems of its own, logging us off every few days.

Our Roku box, computers and tablets never give us any problems streaming Netflix.

Check to see if you have any updates available. I had a similar problem on a Samsung. It never really bothered me b/c I didn't use that tv much and when i did, i just streamed it from my phone to the chromecast. I think a routine software update fixed it.

I have reset the tv/factory reset. Unplugged tv. I do have an account and the netflix app is updated. Am I better off getting a roku or something similar? I can stream perfectly on my phone/tablet just not the smart tv.

Are you hard wired. Is there an error code. Netflix was great when I called their support.

Call them for fricks sake

Smart tvs are an afterthought. The processor is usually crap and the software is horrible.

Maybe not 100% of the time but more often than not.

If you want a speedy option get a fire or Roku 3. Those are $100 but they run super fast and both have voice search which actually works great(although the fire only searches Amazon content).

If you don't care about voice search, you can get the Roku 2.

I don't know much about the fire stick or the cheapest Roku. Not sure how fast they run.

Update the firmware on the TV. And is there is any for you to run an ethernet cable to the tv back into your network?

Do you have a baby monitor, b/c they make it impossible to run Netflix when on?

This. They should stick to building TVs and leave the streaming to Roku and Apple. There are a few TV makers that are building true smart TVs by equipping them with a built-in Roku device.

I moved the smart tv closer to the router, and netflix seems to be working better. I still had a good signal though.

Didn't want to start another thread...

Any recommendations for wifi adapter to make TV wireless?

I'm looking for $10-$15 fix instead of buying fire or roku stick since the tv has the apps I want to use already.

ETA: Its a Vizio TV if that helps.

Any wi-fi adapter would require software running on the TV in order to operate. You can't add wireless to a device that's not designed for it.

Ours has been fantastic. We have an LG and I find the Netflix app as well as the browser built in are amazing. As I said before, it's far, far superior to Apple TV's Netflix app and it's also a more stable stream with far fewer instances of buffering, which is what made us finally try it out after a year or so of ownership of our LG. We also routinely update our OS from LG when prompted though.

As always, YMMV.
