Samsung magician can't recognize the 850 Evo. I'm in Windows 10. Any help would be great.

How do you have it connected? Is it in a USB enclosure, and are you trying to use the Samsung software to clone your hard drive? Any other programs recognize it, like macrium reflect or minitool partition wizard?

Did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in?

I think I might have misread the instructions. I believe the Magician is for after install and the data migration is before.

I thought Magician also did data migration which is why I assumed you were cloning. Maybe they're separate programs. Dunno, I don't use it. Minitool Partition Wizard has a built-in cloning tool now. The software is free and works well.

I got it. It is a separate software. Everything is installed and running great.
