S5 Vs Moto X(2nd Gen)

Need to get an unlocked phone.
Amazon has Samsung Galaxy S5 for $399 unlocked and the Moto X 2014(2nd gen NOT the Pure) for $299 unlocked.
After googling comparisons, they seem to be pretty similar in specs with some differences like the S5 has a better camera. The Moto X runs stock Android while S5 has Touchwhiz.
S5 has a larger battery, but Moto X has the better build quality etc.
I can't decide which phone to get. I'm leaning towards the Moto X b/c it's $100 cheaper and many of the features on the S5 like fingerprint unlock,waterproof up to 30 mins, Touchwhiz, a marginally better camera, are things I don't value too much.
Which phone would y'all get?

You thought about the Nexus 6? The G4 can be had for around $400 Also

if you're willing to spend $400 for the S5, why not the 2015 Moto X Pure? I really think it's a great phone.

You can get the Moto X Pure for 399. Just give me the 400 bucks if you mention the S5 again.

I haven't been reading the best things about the Moto X Pure at all, especially on the Moto X subreddit.

No to Nexus 6 b/c it's freaking huge and b/c I currently have a Nexus 5 that I loved in the beginning but after the last update, it's been a nightmare. Crashes, freezes, etc. I'm just ready to get rid of it.
I also thought $299-$499 was pretty much the going rate for an unlocked phone from a well known company such as Samsung, Motorola, LG. Is $399, really too much for a brand new S5?

The S5 is cheaply made. It's junk.
I tried to tell ILoveBama not to get one and he didn't listen. He now regrets it.
Dude, just don't get it. I'm sure you can find an LG3 or 4 unlocked for around the same price.
I've never owned a Moto but I bet it's better than Samsung.

I said the same thing until my LG G4 was a piece of crap. I loved my G3...just got the Note 5 and Samsung knocked this one out of the park. Awesome phone. Blows away the G4

That was the impression that I got just from playing around with my mom's S5 for a few minutes. I can't imagine how anyone could hold that phone in hand and make the decision to buy it.

It feels cheap. I am not tech savvy so the guy sold me on it. Said it's the greatest phone ever

My wife just got the Note 5 and it looks nice. I just can't give Samsung another chance. I'm tired of their shite.
I don't know what to do. I may switch to Apple, give BlackBerry another shot, go to Windows, or try a Moto or Nexus phone.
