Powerline Adapter Interfering With U-Verse

I recently purchased and installed Netgear Powerline 1200
It actually worked great, I got 10x the speeds I was getting on my computer through wifi. The problem is that when it is plugged in I can no longer watch tv. The channels are just black. When I unplug it, it is fine.
My set up: One adapter is plugged into an outlet in the room the modem/router is (though not the same outlet) an ethernet cable is connected to them modem/router. The second adapter is in my game room on the other side of the house and that ethernet is connected to my computer. The tv is in the living room and connected to the U-verse reciever/dvr box. I have tried plugging them into power strips instead straight into the wall, but no success there. Any other ideas or similar experiences?

Try connecting a router to the gateway, put the router in DMZ plus mode through the gateway, and run your powerline ethernet cables through that.
EDIT: Not saying it'll help, but it's all i can think of at the moment.

What's odd is that att sells power line adapters on the uverse website, I guess I'll return the one I bought and buy the att one.
I wish I could just contact att tech support and ask but I know that'll be useless
