Don't run the torture test. Trust me, I did that and ended up going through three different panels. A B7 a C7 and now I have an E7 (only because frys was out of C7's when I went to swap my C7 out.).
I have about 150 hours on the E7 and I haven't noticed any banding on normal content. I'm sure as hell not going to go and look for it.

I remember reading somewhere on AVS a perfect quote regarding oled panneling issues....”you can’t unsee a gray screen.”

Report back when you get a chance. I have an lg as well, and while I haven’t run into any problems yet, I’m curious if those features fixed it.
I don't see much difference after running the feature. Still burned in.

So this is a serious issue.

From what I’ve read, permanent burn in is rare but burn in is not uncommon. Almost always can be fixed though. Definitely something to be aware of you watch a lot of news, games, or use it as a computer where you have the same thing on the screen for a long time.

I have had a Plasma for ten years. Zero burn-in. You just stay careful and give it a good dose of screen wipe overnight every now and then.

Uh... if you don’t mind my asking, how much does a retail $60,000 tv go for “at cost”?

Hubba I ran the first link last night. I see some improvement but still visible. I will try another tonight. Thanks for the help

Hopeful you can do these over and over until you get the results you want to achieve.
In the future, add this to your phone's calendar (or Alexa's) to run once a month. A few posters here know that I'm old school AV and was calibrating three-tube CRT projectors as far back as 1992. I worked with professionals who knew how to keep from over-driving the CRTs to avoid burn, and then as plasmas came into their own, we all learned (the hard way) to use these rapidly repeating patterns to clear out residual image ghosting and retention. Especially after renting them out for a trade show where static computer inages would be on for an entire day over three or four days. I've got a 10 year-old Panasonic plasma that, although not as 'black' as it once was, it's still pretty damn good in comparison to most LCD displays and has zero image retention. Only once, when it had about 200 hours of use, did I go in and calibrate it. Back then, we had to access the service menu, unlike today, where you can make those changes within the user menu. Anyway, I have never had a reason to make any changes over these 10 years. If you set everything up right, don't use torch mode, and clean it up once a month, you should be okay.

It sure as hell isn't 60k
It's roughly $500 off.

It's a lot more than $500 on a $60K TV.

By "a lot" I mean hours on end, every single day like it's your job, and you aren't ever changing the channel. As long as you are getting different stuff on the screen it's fine. Having the same static banner or logo for a long time is what's going to be an issue.

Unless I am traveling, I work from home which is normally my laptop on the couch in front of the tv with the news on. My current tv is a plasma and the ticker has left retention.

Hmmm, that would definitely make me second guess getting one to be honest.
