New Camcorder

Sony released a newer version of this camcorder at CES at the same price point. Does any one have any insight on how much the price for the older version may drop? It looks like I can pick one up now for around $700, but if it is possible it may go down further in price, it would be nice to wait.
Anyone with experience buying older products after the new ones are released can chime in.

Get a nice dslr before investing a grand in a camcorder.

I've already got a nice DSLR, and want to add this type of camera for portability. I've already decided that I don't want to rely on my phone camera for the video I want to shoot.
Anyway, I'll probably keep an eye on it for a few days and then pull the trigger.
