I have a shattered screen on my S4 that I've been happy with but I am tired of the screen so I'm gonna bite the bullet and get a new one. I want to end up rooting my phone but I tried on my S4 and it says my superuser is out of date or some shite.

No phones out there really stand out to me more than the others for these reasons.

I want the OnePlus One but if I break it I'm SOL and there aren't really any good cased out for it.

Same with Nexus minus the case.

If I break a phone I got from AT&T they will replace it for $200. with those phones I have to shell out another $100 bucks on top of that.

S5- I'd like to stick with what I know and I think it would be easy to root.

M8- Nice but nothing stands out more than the S5 and I already know that phone

LG G3- Heard great things but how easy is it to root compared to the others and I don't really like the placement of the wake/lock button.

I can get a refurbished S5 for free and use my upgrade or get a new S4 for 200 and not burn my upgrade since I don't know what I want.

TIA.

Samsung's are so cheaply made and TouchWiz is so horrible I can't recommend it to anyone. Also I've heard it's not easy to root it.

It might be the best overall Android device ever produced. Plus, it has the best skinned version of Android there is. #ItJustWorks

trust me, you will love it. The button placement is genius. I rarely use the buttons anyway. Just tap the screen to turn it on and am just a swipe down away from the volume control. I couldn't go back to a phone without the knock-on feature

also the new Moto X is about to come out and people are praising that phone already.

Because, in general, people are careless, and most can't focus on doing more than one thing at a time. So if the thing they're doing doesn't directly involve keeping their phone in one piece, anything could happen to it.

The LG G3 is an amazing phone. Both the G3 and S5 can be rooted with towelroot which only takes a second to run.

The S5 is the worst phone on that list.

1. Nexus 5
2. 1+1
3. G3
4. Note 4
5. M8
6. Anything else
7. S5

May go with this.

It's with ATT Next and it says I can buy it for $99 right now and have an upgrade in 2 years or $29 a month for 20 months and have an upgrade in 1 year.

Why would I pay $29 a month over a one time fee of $99?

Can anyone explain this to me?

STEP 2 (access charges)

(per device)

AT&T NextSM, bring your own device, purchase at full price, or month-to-month
(plans with 10GB or more)

+ $15/mo.
(per device)

Two-year agreement*

+ $40/mo.
(per device)

If you pay full price up front, you paying $15/month to access your data plan (assuming 10 gb plan).

If you pay the one time fee of $99 (2 year contract), you have to pay $40 per month to access your data.

The Next plans just divide the full price of your phone over 20 and 26 payments. Bascially you finance it at 0% interest. The $29 you mentioned x 20 months comes out to the exact full retail price of $580. In addition to your monthly note, you also pay the same $15/month to access your data as you would if you brought your own device or paid full retail up front.

FWIW, I bought the black LG G3 this past Friday for $530 on Amazon. No taxes, free shipping, and I qualified for LG's promotion to get a free spare battery and charging cradle.

I just ditched my Samsung for an M8...so happy with it. Amazing build quality and great performance plus it feels like an expensive phone in your hand and not like a cheap toy. Very responsive android experience; no lag or stuttering at all. Best part: no TouchWiz!
