Video file is 6 gb. The jump drive has 20 gb of space. Every time I try to transfer, it tells me the file is too big for its destination. Huh?

Are you sure the dump drive is empty?

i believe certain disk formats have file size limits. maybe that's an issue?

for example, FAT32 disk format only allows transfers up to 4gb i believe.

Fat32 has a 4GB file size limit

you will need to format it to something else.

Yep NTFS or exFat should work.

Does 7zip still allow you to split zipped archives into multiple files? Even if you video doesn't compress much maybe you can do it that way.
