So I'm a house divided with a CLANGA gal. Our scheduling this year has me attending the Toilet Bowl with her. I just saw the gametimes released for the Thanksgiving weekend games and that game and our square up with the Aggies are at the same time. I figured I wouldn't mind listening to the radio broadcast, especially since it'll be Hawthorne's last.

I am completely new to anything concerning radio headset equipment, but I see a lot of the (usually older guys) wearing them in stadiums to listen to the radio broadcast.

My first question is what is the range on those things? I see there's an LSU affiliate in Jackson, which would put me at about 125 miles. Is that doable with those headsets? I've also started looking into a portable sirius product as well, but am not yet currently finding much.

Any help that can be provided is much appreciated, thanks.

No way you can pickup the FM radio broadcast from Vicksburg ( LINK) or Jackson ( LINK) on the affiliates.

You should be able to pickup the AM broadcase on WWL 870 though from there once they bump up their signal at night. I listened to the end of the Arkansas game in Atlanta this past Sat night.

Many stadiums block streaming audio/video so it may be hit or miss. Looks like you're just going to have to chance it.

I use the tunein app for listening to college football. It has a sports section so it's easy to find the game you want to hear.

your best bet will be some sort of APP to stream it through your phone.

Have your secretary call you and hold the phone up to a speaker

That depends on what the cell signal situation at the stadium in Starkville.

Tiger Stadium is practically a dead zone for AT&T during games. I suspect this is a problem elsewhere. Therefore, a cell phone APP may not be feasible.

streaming was my second choice, I'm always hesitant of cell phone streaming in a stadium. That will definitely be my fallback.

Thanks y'all.
