What's a quality, protective case that isn't as bulky as the otter?

I use this with a glass screen protector ($10 on Amazon). It is really thin, and the glass screen protector is designed to break before your screen. Also, it doesn't allow dust to get trapped under the protector and scratch your screen like the otterbox.

Have one on my G6 with no issues. It's saved my phone numerous times since I've had it

Spigen Slim Armor is what I've been using on my last few phones. Excellent dual layer protection without the bulk of the otter box.

I like the UAG but on a big phone (Note 4) the squared edges felt too big. I went with the Speck CandyShell Grip. It is been my absolute favorite case. I think they have a S5 at Best Buy for 18

Thanks - how well do the volume rockers work on this? My biggest complaint on the otter other than bulk is the volume rocker.

In looking at the pictures I posted of the S5 case above, it looks like those buttons protrude a little and you shouldn't have an issue using the buttons. On my Note5 the rubber layer is flush with the plastic layer and the buttons are flush also.

All that being said, the rubber case on these is stiff enough so that it doesn't start to stretch or wear in the highly used spots yet soft enough to make using the buttons very easy. I have no complaints.
