I want to stay on the fi service. Wouldn't this limit me to only being able to use one network for service?

I really just don't see this or feel this way towards mine. Mine is fantastic. Have y'all rooted and tried other roms?

Naw. The whole point of having a google phone like the pixel or nexus line is there is no need to root the phone.

I don't know a ton about rooting a phone but I believe it disables android pay, which would be a deal breaker for me.

Does it kill android pay though? Because if so that is a huge reason not to.

I think there are ways around it but I'm not sure. I don't use it

I miss it a lot. I bought a Moto C from Costco b/c I needed a cheap phone. The battery on my 5X got to the point that it would only last about 4 hours. The phone was 2 years and my wife got it wet on the beach once. The phone held up better than most here. I always liked the 5x and if the battery was still good, I'd still be using it.

Changing the battery is a 10 min job.

I didn't want to have to buy a new charger for work, home, car, travel etc.

6Ps are 285 on Swappa. That's a great deal.

Speaking of this phone, I can't believe they supply type C to type C. That cord is useless without the supplied plug.

I got a ZTE Axon Mini 7 for $200 on Amazon a few months back to replace my Nexus 5X. I've been super pleased with it.

It's funny you say that because I could only use it with the supplied plug. Then around christmas (the first year I had it) I got a package from google that contained some legos to build a phone cradle and also a usb to usb c cord. So that was pretty cool.

Don't get the nexus 5x again. I have two in my house and i count every day they continue to work a blessing.

It's basically and LG issue. Won't be buying an LG made phone again.

Bump. One of ours finally bit the dust as well. Sent it off to LG and they sent it back stating it had water damage so they won't fix it.

I don't deny the water sticker changed colors (they emailed me a picture) but the phone was working fine before it went into bootloop. Sounds like a cop-out to me personally.

Again, never buy LG phones. This issue is so huge there is a class action lawsuit going on.

As is mine. It was my wife's that went out.

I'm just glad they didn't go out at the same time and i can space out my new phone purchases.

You and I should both keep our fingers crossed though. Because it looks like when they do crap out LG is going to do whatever they can to not own up to it.

Yeah, I guess. I'm not going to act like it is going to go out on me any day now. That's stressful. I have a Moto E as a backup to any phone. Maybe you wife's went out because you had a psychic connection with it and you thought it to break!
