My iphone 4 just deleted all my contacts

I was texting someone. A message about my I cloud came up. I closed it real quick. Now all my local contacts are gone. I still have some from the last month or two but the majority are gone. How do I recover this?

It's weird. If I go to text and type Ina name. They come up. But it's like a plus sign and then the number. They aren't in the contact list though.

After get them back, get the free app My Contacts Backup.
It makes a copy of your contact info and emails it to you. You can pull up the email and import the contacts in about half a second.
Works great for when you get a new phone too.

Im so fricked. I texted my friend who works for at&t. I erased my phone. trying to reboot from my cloud and its popping up with error messages everytime i try.

I upgraded my wife's Iphione 4 to a 6 last week and lost all her notes in the process.
Gone, and not coming back.
I called Apple. They were no help.
I bought recovery software. Did not work.
Fricken Apple.

No icloud. She only had the one device and did not require syncing, and never turned icloud on. I backed up the 4 with itunes and restored to the 6 and got no notes. I called apple and they said notes were backed up on icloud, so when I turned on icloud, guess what happens, notes are deleted from the device. She had a older IOS and never got a good backup, I guess.
