Only what I have read in the news.

They were seemingly doing well, won an Oscar and all, then layoffs were announced in 2016. Then it was said the company would be sold to an outfit in Florida. Then it seems that fell through, but many of the staff went to work elsewhere.

Then Bill Joyce announced in April 2017 that he was bringing it back to its original purpose. LINK

I appreciate the responses. My daughter just graduated with a degree in 3D Animation and Moonbot is one of the closest companies in relation to home.

There are a few other companies similar to moonbot based in Shreveport. She should check out Louisiana Job Connection for animation jobs up there. There’s been a recent influx in jobs as those companies will need to hire people to meet the requirements from the state.

For the most part, Moonbot was on an island up in N LA. Most of the animation jobs that have been created in the state over the past decade are in Nola and Lafayette.

Millenium studios used to have a center in Shreveport. My daughter actually did some ROTO work for them on one of the Expendable movies and a couple of other movie projects.

I have no idea if its still in Shreveport.
