My current hdtv is going out. Been looking into a new one, is 4k worth it? Does anything use that now? If not, what about LED or LCD?

Not much 4K content yet but more and more pops up everyday. I personally would buy a Sony panel. They even offer a really nice piece that doesn't have 4k.

LINK

48 inch, 1080p LED Smart TV

Bought this TV about a month ago, had a 10% off coupon for Best Buy and got it for about $493.

Still on sale. Last year's model though, without the Android OS. Has the Sony Entertainment OS thing, which isn't the greatest.

But I have a fire stick I use anyway, so to me that really wasn't a deal breaker.
