Looking for a new pc monitor

I currently use a 24 inch monitor that is still working fine, I just want something bigger. I use my computer for gaming and would like something with a high resolution. As far as money I'd like to spend under $400 if possible. The minimum size I'm looking for would be 27". Anybody have any suggestions?
-Side note, my pc has a GTX970 video card with plenty HD ports

What resolution are you looking for?

To be honest I'm not really sure. I don't have a specific resolution in mind, just something that looks nice. What's the most common "good" resolution these days?

Get an Asian 1440 monitor off ebay for $250 or less (I don't remember what they're going for anymore)

GTX 970 is a good entry-level card for 1440P.

EDIT: Yeah, the Korean ones are probably still much cheaper than the ones i linked
