My MIL has a small tv in the kitchen that is sitting on an island. It's about 6-7 feet from a window. No cable outlets nearby, just electrical.
She wants to be able to watch the local channels but after trying 3 different antennas, I still can't get abc (2) or cbs (9).
I can't get the antenna any closer to the window and there's not a way I can figure to easily run a cable to the attic.
She has cox in the living room, but this one in the kitchen is on the island with no cable outlet nearby.
Any other methods or specific antenna ideas to get the locals on the kitchen tv?
She's in the Essen/Jefferson hwy area.

It's a pricey solution, but you could get a wireless hdmi transmitter/receiver to go from the living room to the kitchen.

Need 30".

Does she have any stainless steel appliances in or above the island?

They have wireless video transmitters that use rca inputs that may work

The small tv doesn't need HD anyway

Fighting the same damn problem with WBRZ and WAFB.

I have resigned myself to go into 1970 mode and run a huge antenna 30 feet up a pole.

I do have a Tablo ready to stream the antenna signal out to Tablo apps on my streaming devices. Look into doing that if you have a strong wifi signal in the kitchen and pop a roku stick or Fire TV stick in the tv.

Do you have any brand recommendations?

She does have several pots hanging above the island but not sure what they are made of.

30" antenna? I think that may be too much of an eye sore for her. But thanks for the reply.

My FIL had something like this before. It worked well for awhile but only lasted about a year before crapping out. I think it was from Radio Shack. I don't think it was 5.8 GHz.
The reviews for the Nyrius look pretty good.
The kitchen TV is about 30 - 40 feet from the Cox box in the living room, 1 wall between. Would this be worth a shot? Price wise it's closer to what she may be comfortable with.

I think this may be too much for her to manage.
But thanks for the suggestion.
