I've installed Kodi with the Beast wizard on a PC. Works fine.

If I put a FireTV on one of the my TVs, will I be able to run everything with my iphone? Everything is in a closet.

Also, do I need to have a VPN set up on the computer running Kodi?

The fire TV app works just fine on an iPhone. In fact, it's much easier to use than the remote. I also have Kodi in the Fire Stick, and no problems with the app either

Yep, you also get keyboard functionality which helps when doing searches and/ or using the Firefox add-on

Wow. Kodi is amazing, although a little complicated to learn. I installed it on a networked TV, but am just using a TV as 2nd monitor to watch.

As noted earlier, I ordered a FireTV for a 2nd TV. Do I need to set up a separate Kodi on that TV, or can I use the PC as a sort of file server that the FireTV will pick up from the PC somehow. I've got quite a few TVs and don't want to have to resetup Kodi on each one (favorites, preferences, etc).

Yes

I don't know of a way to do this but it would be nice. If you were able to stream direct to your TV from your PC, wouldn't even need the fire TV

You can install KODI on windows. Just hook an HDMI from your laptop to your TV and you won't need a Fire TV

That's what I was alluding to, but (I think) he was asking about streaming to his TV

I was hoping to find a way to have 1 computer with Kodi on it and have multiple TVs stream from it so I wouldn't have to customize Kodi on each TV. Looks like it doesn't work that way and I'll have to set it up on each TV with its own computer or FireTV/stick.

I posted that question on a Kodi forum and it 'may' be possible, though I didn't really understand the process.

Probably best to just have each run its own Kodi

Well that's kind of the reason you get a fire stick, so you don't have to do that every time you want to watch something. It's a convenience purchase more than anything.
