I have a good friend who is looking for an entry level IT job. If anyone has a specific job in mind, please respond. He has done all the resumes and such, just thinking someone on here might know of a company looking for an entry level guy. Thanks in advance.

not really related, but i saw a job posting recently in IT that had all the normal job functions and then this at the end.

The brutal honesty interested me.

quote:

Boss will expect you to be on-call 24/7. He will interrupt your vacation, birthday dinner, etc., to demand you remote in to fix the problem he caused by re-starting the one thing you told him not to touch.

Boss is the sort that wants everything yesterday. Listens to no one. Constantly messing with things. Will demand you set up accounts/directories/file systems, and then arbitrarily demand that everything gets put back the way it was, and then back again.

Frustrating. Demanding. Infuriating. You will work in a (large) windowless closet.

Great office atmosphere, small town north of DFW near Denton. Boots & jeans. Family-oriented co-workers. Sonic-type ice machine. Flexible schedule. Health and dental 100% employer-provided (though that may change as costs skyrocket).

Don't bother if you can't stomach dozens of trophy mounts as decor. Ditto if you don't like guns, shooting, talking about shooty-things.

yes it is.

We will hire CS majors out of school with 2 of the 3, experienced coders with either all 3 or industry experience. Our software is heavy on SQL.
