IT asset management

I am looking for a program that can pull asset or inventory data on all devices in a home or business. This would include not only the usual assets, such as servers, workstations, routers, switches, mobile devices, etc, but also IOT devices, such as hubs, light bulbs, thermostats, cameras, smoke detectors, etc.
I wasn't sure if Spiceworks or Solarwinds could do this or not. Any suggestions?
TIA

Have you looked at Kaseya?
I'm not sure what their coverage on the IoT side is but on the normal IT assets they are top notch.

That's kind of what I am wondering. I've heard good things (and bad) about all of these asset management programs (used to be in audit, so looked through reports from each). I was just wondering if anyone had experience with pulling asset data on IOT devices.

Haven't ever even thought about that, and I hope dearly that neither internal nor external audit gets this bright idea.

phpIPAM may fit your needs. It's free.

We use Spiceworks in the office and I can confirm it will track servers/networking equip/printers
It's reporting agent is quite good and can even tell you the toner levels on your printers in one clean dashboard.
As far a IoT assets, you can add them in the inventory and potentially ping them but obviously can't do much else.
You could also use The Dude to ping IoT assets and be alerted when they go down.

I hate Spiceworks and can't wait to get off that damn thing.

I demo'd Manage Engine's service desk plus last year and it was our primary candidate to replace spiceworks. It has varying levels and is ITIL based, so you can step up the basic service desk to include asset management. Now, idk if they sell asset mgmt by itself. But guess it depends if you would be interested in moving other service apps to them. They have option for on-prem or web-hosted.

It's one of the best free apps I have ever used.
What causes you to hate it?

We use SolarWinds, its pricey but its doing a much better job for us than SpiceWorks did.
