It's not techinally a "TV" because it doesn't have a tuner. Unless you need OTA capability, this seems like a good deal to me

In addition to the lack of a tuner, I do not believe it has speakers either. Not that anyone would use built in speakers in a "theater" setup anyway.

Correct. When it just says display, it is saying that you must have a receiver or a soundbar to get audio out of your setup.

It doesn't have a tuner at all but does have speakers. Unless you plan on connecting an antenna for over the air broadcast, it won't be an issue. It also comes with a small tablet that will act as a remote, but also will play whatever content your tv is playing. (if you go into another room, you can watch on the tablet and switch back when you come back to the main tv.

Its a big fancy monitor without a tuner. TV's have tuners built in.
