Wifi and cellular?! Or just wifi?

Getting one for my wife, we do travel, so that was my only concern with getting just wifi.

Can you use your phone as a hotspot?

Thanks

Most phones can be used as a hotspot so I don't see the need for the Cellular.

Do you have an iPhone (assuming so because iPad). If so go to Settings (Silver and Black Gear Icon). Personal Hotspot should be in the top list of options.

I started getting ones with the cellular. Hot spot drains the phones battery more. Was a pain when flying unless I sat next to an outlet. Definitely a luxury and not a necessity though.

FYI, you can get 200mb's free with t-mobile for life. It's not a lot but it let's you use it in a pinch.

I have wifi only and have never missed it. a portable hotspot (or your phone) is more versatile anyways.

Thanks for the replies. Was leaning towards wifi only and worse case scenario use the phone as a hot spot
