My parents are college-educated and very smart, but anything computer-related is completely beyond their ability to understand. I'm sure some technology will come along in future that will be the same way for me. Hopefully some youngin will be around to answer my questions

To be fair, I don't know a damn thing about medicine, if a doctor recommends that I get my spine tied like a bowtie I just might go with it.

I installed some Ubiquiti Unifi APs at a doctor's office. It wasn't even an old doctor, I'd guess he was 40. He asked me if these new APs used lasers. A fricking medical doctor thinks that you can use lasers to communicate through walls and shite? And that the radio receiver in the laptops would just be fine with switching from radio waves to lasers? What in the actual frick?

Off topic:
I've been in charge of deploying Ubiquity Unifi APs four our corporate IT, as well as a couple of customers. So far, they work ok but we have trouble with intermittent drops, sudden inability to authenticate via RADIUS, etc. These things clear themselves up. I'll admit that our building is volatile; a lot of people randomly turn on their own Cisco routers and things at their desk that cause lots of interference, so I chalked it up to that. However, at the customer sites I've set up, there are no other wifi SSIDs that show up yet they seem to have intermittent trouble as well.

In short, I'd like to know your experience with these APs and if you have had the same difficulties, or are they the "turn on and just work" style of device they should be?

One time my wife's Ipod was locked up and she had been trying to get it to turn on for hours (so she said). I get home and she asks me if I can fix it, I said I don't know but I'll Google it: "You did Google it, right?". "No....I didn't think to do that". She is 27 so it's not like she's old or anything. Anyways, first result on Google said to hold the power button for 10 seconds or something. Bam, fixed in 30 seconds.

Just googled how to install Ubiquiti Unifi APs. Guess your services are no longer needed.
