I have a 3 year old vizio smart tv, 50 inch, led, 1080p, 240hz. It turns itself off within seconds of being turned on. I've called a few shops in BR and they want outrageous amounts of money to fix this thing. From my research, it seems to be a bad power supply board. I took the back off of the tv and the power supply board is held on by 4 screws and had 2 cables connected to it. can't be that hard, i just dont want to screw it up. any shops in the BR area you guys would recommend?
TL;DR broken tv. need a reputable, inexpensive shop reco in BR
UPDATE: ordered power supply board and changed it out. didnt work. took it to shop to get diagnosed. it's a bad "main board." 308.00 to fix it. just gonna cut my losses....

The hardest part was probably taking off the back of the TV. Just don't shock yourself on the caps.

Just order the part and fix it.

Either fix it yourself or go buy a new one. Probably spend as much at a repair shop as you would going to wally world and buying a new one.

Follow everyones advice so far & fix it yourself. I had a Vizio that blew up a few months ago. Literally, a loud bang with the smell of smoke. I was going to put it on the curb for trash collection, but for shits & giggles I ordered a power supply board on eBay for $80. It took me all of 15 minutes to fix it & works like new.

You already did the hard part, just fix it. You will pay at least $150 to have it fixed and you can get boards as cheap as $20 online.

They didn't make my model anymore so I found a used one on eBay. Just make sure you can return it in case the power board isn't the problem.
