Someone used my gmail account to sign up for paytm.com. I got 2 e-mails. One thanking me for registering and one saying 10 rupees were added to my online wallet.

I immediately changed my gmail password. None of my bank accounts or credit cards show any transactions. Do I need to do anything else? I am hesitant to e-mail paytm.com support to alert them of the stolen email.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Receiving an email doesn't mean you were hacked. If you look in your sent mail folder do you see any suspicious OUTGOING mail? If not, you weren't hacked.

Someone just sent you the confirmation to get you to then respond back to them to probably then ask you for your banking info or some other phishing scam.

I've had a couple of times where my yahoo account sent out emails to everyone I've ever emailed, and nothing was in my sent folder

Sounds like a phishing attempt. Don't click on any links in the emails, in fact delete the emails.

You're using the same password for your crap mail that you use to manage your bank accounts.?
