Google Chrome has an extension called Random Price that won't go away even after uninstalling it and re-installing it. I am unable to download Adblock Plus which I think is b/c of this. It says network failed when I do.

Also, there was something in my programs called BuyNnSaave that I could not delete through Malwarebytes or CCleaner. Somehow I accidentally deleted it(which did not uninstall it) and now I can't find it to try and get rid of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

To deal with BuynSave: Goo Here

To deal with Random Price: Go Here or Here

If you haven't yet, try booting into Safe Mode to run MWB and CC.

If that doesn't work, try a system restore to a time before the issue began.

If that doesn't work, back up your shizzy and take it to a pro.

Good link with slightly different options but better instructions and links to the programs.

LINK

1.Download hitman pro.

2.Along with malewarebytes.

3.Maybe some emsisoft on the side.

4.JRT - junk removal tool.

5.tdskiller

6.rkill

Restart in safe mode.
run tdskiller
then rkill
then hitman pro
then malwarebytes
then jrt
then emsisoft

If nothing works run combofix at your own risk.

Key is you probably need to be in safe mode to actually get most crap off.

Also, most programs catch bits and pieces. You usually need to run multiple programs to get everything.

Windows 8 is a vast improvement over past OS when it comes to malware / viruses but you can still get hit.

I got an add redirect without downloading and executing an exe so it can happen.

Although in my case I spend lots of time in the deep web so I am more prone to get tagged.

How did you get rid of it? TD has been randomly jumping to another site when I click on the different board links. It's my work comp so I'm afraid to just start tinkering with it like I would do with my personal.

I just got something similar from a fake Java update that popped up.

Sounds like my mom.

"Well, it said to click, so I clicked. Now I have this toolbar and all these ads... but I kind of like the toolbar... it helps me listen to my music stations"

Me: But... it's malware.... I'm getting rid of it... and don't call me back over if it comes back, because I'll know you did it.

"Your father likes it too"

Me: Bye.

A boxing website that I go to would do this all the time. I installed Ad block and have not had that happen ever again. I would run a scan and then put ad block on your browser.

I practice what I preach. When I foul up my system, I run everything I mentioned and a couple more.

As I said, the key is to start in safe mode. You really can't skip that step and hope for the best.

One tip for the future. Roll with a SSD. Holy smokes it makes virus and malware scans run fast.

On top of the programs I mentioned, I do roll with Kaspersky Security. I haven't had a problem YET since I upgraded from the built in Windows option. Emphasis on"Yet"

Flash and ad extensions can definitely shrink the chance you get tagged but not outright remove the threat.

I've been nailed running the 3 most popular browser extensions.

No, he downloaded shite and just clicked through, never unchecking anything or going into custom install

Chicken fixed some redirect stuff I was getting earlier, so if you guys are having problems on TD only, go to the help board thread and let him no
