Google Wifi or AirPort Extreme?

Which one is best and easiest to set up?
I plan on using cox 120 download package. Should I just use their wifi router and modem?
Is either of the two choices together a router/modem combo or do I have to buy the modem separately?
Sorry I don't know anything about this except for the fact that I would like the wifi signal to be very strong throughout my 1,500 sq foot apartment.
Haven't had much luck with wifi extenders
Thanks in advance

I've had the Asus Google Onhub router for about a year and it's been fantastic. The app that connects to it is great. You can see everything connected to your network, check speeds, or give one device priority. It's also getting better soon with an update that gives the ability to turn off data to particular devices and adding short cuts to certain functions.

No just a router but you don't want a modem/router all in one. I've had two that I got from Cox and both have been awful. Get a Motorola surfboard 6141 modem and a good router.

Which leads me to a related question. How come I must use ATT's router when using ATT UVerse internet? I basically disabled their router and use our own Apple AirPort Extreme but why must I use theirs?

I've never heard of someone being forced to use a specific router. Maybe certain modems won't work with a particular provider but even then you usually have a choice and don't have to buy from the provider. I've always had Cox and you can use any compatible modem or router you want. Not sure if AT&T is different.

That's odd. And how would they force you to use theirs anyways? Signal goes to modem, but from there how would they even know or have control over the router?

Hey Dan, I got a AirPort Extreme I'll sell you. Since it still looks new and is made by Apple I have to demand full retail price though. $130 and it's yours.
