Are there any options right now or expected in the future that dont require a cast audio device on the speakers?

I am looking to stream to multiple speakers in house and am trying to think of how to do it. I dont have any wireless speakers currently, but will be adding a few soon.

i think you need a chromecast audio. they're not expensive though.

I am aware of the cast audio, thats why I asked about potential to not use it with a speaker, in hopes someone has seamless integration.

Seamless would not have two devices to do one function. If there is nothing out there that does it yet, then so be it.

I understand your point but it's much better than a bluetooth connection. Especially if you have outdoor speakers. That's been my experience anyway.

Not to mention you can set it up to play in groups or the whole house.

I'm not too sure what you're trying to do but they have receivers with google cast audio built in and there are wireless speakers with cast audio.

The speaker(s) will have to have google cast built in or the receiver that connects to the wireless speakers will have to have it.

You don't have to put that in the speaker. You put it in the receiver.
