I do the research and buy whatever best fits what I want/need and is a good price, regardless of brand. I don't let a brand tell me what I want or need.

But you will tell people what they shouldn't want or need by calling them sheep?

Yeah I do the research too. That's why I don't buy Windows, unlike 80% of the sheep in the world that all keep to their herd mentaility.

And Apple told me I needed a phone with no buttons, there was no real competition, yet I was skeptical.

Then Apple told me I needed a Pad. There was no real competition, yet I was skeptical

Now Apple tells me I need a Watch. There is no real competition, & after spending a little time with one, I'm less skeptical...

The thing is common sense would dictate the apple watch is an overpriced piece of tech. That is when you can get a smart watch for a lot cheaper than the price Apple is asking.

Therefore the people buying an apple watch are going against common sense. So the sheep moniker fits.

Can you get one that works on iOS. Point me in the right direction as I might get one as training wheels for an iWatch in future iterations.

People who love buying Apple because they believe they make a great product are sheep. But people who hate apple for no reason at all other than its Apple aren't. Okay.

I just read the OP. Before I go back and scroll down, would I be correct that this thread is full of Apple haters that believe it is their business to tell be people how they should spend their money and what tech they should enjoy?

Also, are there a lot of sheep references?

Yes, plus the usual Gman retort. So, basically full-retard top to bottom.

Just scrolled. How did I see that shite coming?

The disciples of Google are so ridiculous. You guys worship at the alter of a company that has as it's primary business model collecting personal information so that it can be aggregated and sold to advertisers.

I'll never understand why you assholes act like you are the rebels. You are the people in the pods in the Matrix. Google feeds you a little while extracting a lot.

Apple is a hardware company. Their business is selling hardware. Google's business is you and hiding it in a their services.

Apple has not announced any numbers regarding pre-orders, and I don’t think they’re going to — they announced months ago that they will not be breaking out watch revenue numbers or unit sales in financial reports, for competitive reasons. So we’re left with conjecture like this report from Slice Intelligence.

I’ve seen this report linked all over the news today, and many of the headlines state something to the effect that Apple sold “one million” watches. First, it’s just wrong to take these estimates as fact — any credible headline needs to emphasize that these figures are estimates. Second, I can’t find any record of Slice Intelligence having made similar estimates of Apple product sales in that past — estimates that we could double check against what Apple eventually reported.

But third, “one million pre-orders” is not what Slice even claims. They’re saying “957,000 people in the U.S. pre-ordered an Apple Watch on Friday” and that each ordered an average of 1.3 watches. That’s 1.25 million watches — and it’s only for the U.S. Apple Watch went on sale in nine countries last week, all of them major markets. So even if you believe Slice’s estimates are accurate, they imply that customers around the world ordered millions of Apple Watches, plural, on the first day.

Apple either underestimated demand or they are having problems on the supply end. Based on the shipping dates, whatever that had ready to go for this month went fast.

Don't think for one second that Apple is not collecting all your data.

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I actually tried both platforms and have determined Android to be far superior for my purposes, so much so that I am more than willing to accept and be aware of the data they are collecting from me. I was still using Google and many of its services when I was using iOS, so by switching to Android I really just have one less multi-billion-dollar empire collecting data about me. It's just as foolish to be blind to Google's intentions as it is to imply they are more personally malicious or disruptive than they actually are.
