They manually cut you off if they receive a DMCA violation notice for you. They don't filter any traffic besides outbound SMTP from customers to avoid blacklisting, so don't worry about your legal torrents.

ETA

If a customer continues to violate the DMCA, the ISP becomes liable for fines and stuff. That's is why they will eventually cut you off totally if you keep getting busted.

This is how it should work, and how most ISPs do it, but these guys made it sound like Eatel went above and beyond.

I hope you're right, I'll feel much better about this situation.
