Does this speed seem right for my Internet?

Fixed my Netflix problem
Comcast talked me into bumping up my speed but it's no faster
Sometimes I'll turn off my WiFi on my phone because it's being slow and lte is faster even though I have a poor signal here

I looked at some stuff online and there is nothing really concrete with what is going on. Some things I saw online suggested:
Trying a different browser.
Some people said that Netflix neuters streaming speed for using Netlfix through a browser. If you have some other device that has a Netflix app like PS3, Xbox, set-top device, etc... try streaming through it and see if it is better quality.

Maybe the speed you're getting from your wifi is inconsistent so the auto bandwidth setting keeps hopping around? Try picking a quality setting for playback.

Way too many variables to give accurate advice:
Are you using a Wireless Data Plan? Are you using WiFi? Are you plugged in via Ethernet?
Is it LTE? More than likely I'll guess it's a bad signal. Are you using WiFi? Is it a router in your house or apartment? Or are you picking up a WiFi signal from elsewhere? Could be a signal strength issue if its the latter, a bad router if the former.
Provide a bit more specificity about your internet connection so we have a tad bit better starting point for advice.

ok i figured out to check it on my desktop and it was fine. so i restarted and now it's working
but on another note, they just talked me into bumping up my internet from 50 to 105 and it's not any faster. this is what i have
should it not be closer to 100? i have comcast xfinity and i'm using their wireless router

Buy a high end modem and router. How far are you from the main line outside? Distance is a factor, but cheap equipment will degrade your signal as well.

A) Restart your modem by powering it down for about 10 seconds and then plugging back in. Sometimes this gets the new speed after a restart.
B) You should easily be able to stream Netflix with 32 mbps download. I have about 18-24 mbps at my house and Netflix runs great.

I have the comcast modem and router. Do you think there's would be shitty? And I'm the first apartment so it's all right outside my living room. And I'm not far at all from the router/modem inside

The wireless router functionality on those combos is usually pretty poor.

Well that sucks with what I pay for it. I was going to try to plug in directly and check it but I don't think macbooks have that option
It has ethernet outlets on the back of the modem. Is that where you plug a router in? What kind should I get? I don't want cheap but not the most expensive

Get a tp link N router from Amazon. I have 50 Mbps and it runs everything smoothly. It's likely how it gets to you is the problem

Drop the dimes Paige. Don't go cheap. The modem plugs into the back of the router via Ethernet cable.

On another note, seeing your choppy Netflix. It looked more like the computer causing the skipping.
I have nothing to base this on, but if I were you, I would run a hitman pro scan and then malwarebytes just to make sure you haven't picked up a bug.

Get either an Asus or a netgear 802.11AC. I prefer Asus, but both are great routers.

ASUS Router
Get an ASUS dual band like the one in the link. I have one on cox and stream 4K through it fine on Netflix with a 50MB plan. If Comcast will let you upgrade to a ARRIS 3.0 modem.
