Anybody angrily awaiting their preorder here?
I purchased the day it went live, I want my Mavic.
Mainly flown helis and built a quad a long time ago. Buddy has been flying 3DRs for awhile, so I have flown them a lot. Decided to get one because my last heli finally crapped out, it's pretty damn old tech too, and the Mavic is just what I have been waiting for. Everything in one package and can stick it in my ruck without losing much space.

man i have the OG phantom. I really dont fly much anymore cause the flight time on those are so short compared to the new ones, so it isnt as fun anymore. but being so portable that thing looks like i might get back into it.

From all the youtube vids, it doesn't sacrifice much for that portability either. Flys as good as the P4 and the same camera sensor. Getting 25 minute flights out of the battery. All the features of the P4. Finally something you can just pack up and take anywhere.

How do you justify a $1000 drone?
I had a difficult time with a $150 drone that I've flown maybe 3 times in a year.

By not telling the wife how much it costs, lol. I fly my stuff a lot.
You don't want to know how much I have spent in replacement parts for RC Helis I have crashed throughout the years.

How do people justify spending thousands on Golf, Fishing, Hunting, or any other number of Hobbies. It just depends on what you enjoy doing.

Is the battery swappable? Could you buy additional batteries for longer flight times

Yes, I got the bundle with two extra batteries included. Smart batteries in it as well.

Better than the P4, tons of early users have been putting it through the paces for YouTube reviews.

I am worried most about wear from folding the legs and the annoyance of touch to zoom the most.

im cleaning out my room tat has all my junk in it and going to sell a bunch of stuff i dont use. Hope i can gather 1k to buy this. I guess ill just take apart my P1 and the chinese drone, i build before the P1s even came out, for parts.

No idea, they were suppose to ship last Saturday. DJI has basically said there is a delay and they do not know when they will ship.
People think they made up the release date to kill the GoPro Karma announcement and they are behind on being finished with the drone.
