I've finally decided to buy a Fitbit Charge HR. I want it in size Large and in black. I want to buy it from Amazon as I'm a Prime member. I also want to pay MSRP which is $149.99.
I have the Amazon app on my phone and proceeded to purchase this item tonight so I can have it by the weekend, but I can't find it on their site where Amazon is the seller. Am I retarded? Seems like it would appear on Amazon even if it's out of stock. All I see are Charge HR's for various prices almost $50 over MSRP and not sold by Amazon directly. What's up with that?

Bought my about a month ago, saw the exact same thing. Went to Best Buy and bought it for $149.

Ok, glad to know I'm not just retarded and couldn't find it on their site for some reason. I really like buying things, electronics especially, from Amazon b/c of their awesome customer service. If there's a problem, they'll replace it.

I'm not a fan of Best Buy's customer service, but I guess that's where I'll have to purchase this. Wonder why Amazon doesn't carry it?

I've been debating getting one recently as I become more active. I like the look, and it'd be nice to have as a reminder to have to keep being active.

How do you feel about yours?

Just a heads up, I bought my Fitbit Charge from Best Buy in late January. It crapped out mid-April and I was pretty disappointed. I contacted Fitbit's customer service department, they asked for a picture of the receipt (thankfully I had kept it) and then they sent me a brand new one. So if you do buy from Best Buy, make sure you keep the receipt!

This?

Yep, that one. I swear I did a search for Fitbit Charge HR four or five times and the only one that appeared was the $191 with Prime shipping but not actually sold by Amazon. Guess Amazon just updated.

Since I couldn't impulse buy though, I'm now researching smart watches. Seems like they'll give you much more functionality.

What is the point of these fitbits? Just looks like a pedometer and only purely lazy, out of shape people care about how many steps they take per day.

Same here. Mine stopped syncing & wouldn't hold a charge after about a month. Contacted Fitbit Customer Service & sent a brand new one. My wife lost the button on hers & they had to send her a new one also.

I think it varies from person to person. I have incorporated it into my daily routine and it acts as a reminder of how lazy I can be. I have had one for 3 months and it has definitely changed my activity level for the better.

I think the small one is the $191.
This link, you can toggle back and forth on the size, and see the price difference.

They can be useful if you like tech and are into fitness. My wife was wanting to get me one for my birthday. We have an incentive program through work, Virgin HealthMiles, where we are paid for staying active. They give you a pedometer, that is pretty basic. It keeps track of steps and "active minutes" which is any minute with more than 135 steps. You are rewarded miles based on daily activity, and it can be either steps or active minutes, or a combo of both. But they also pair up with certain apps, like RunKeeper, EndoMondo, and other devices are approved.

The FitBit is one of them, something called a Misfit shine, which is also worn like a watch, but it actually has a little watch on the face. And some others I can't remember without logging in. If I did get one, I would probably want the HR version since it also has a watch feature. I wouldn't just want the one with dots on it. It would basically replace the pedometer I keep in my pocket now.

I like it, but I don't like how it calculates calories burned. I get up in the morning, pour myself a cup of coffee and I've burned 600 calories, so I'm not sure if there is a setting I'm missing or not, but it seems pretty good at step tracking, HR, and I like the app.
