Which one should I go with? I am going to be using it for
Netflix
HBO
ESPN
Showtime
Amazon prime
I plan on using it upstairs, I live in an old house and the wifi signal isn't super strong upstairs. I have noticed when playing Amazon prime movies on my PS3 that the streaming is constantly buffering. Is the wifi reception on the fire stick?
Pros and cons of each?
I already have a chromecast and like it, but was wondering if the stick is better. Thanks

If the wifi signal isn't super strong then you are going to experience a lot of buffering. I would suggest getting a wireless extender LINK or find a way to run a cable upstairs from the router and get a fireTV instead. If you can fix that problem then the fire stick or fireTV is the way to go.

they are 2 different devices. One is a standalone device and one casts your phone or computer to your tv.

Chromecast is legit. I have 75 mbps wifi and never experience any buffering after the first few seconds of a show.

Last I recall, there's no casting Amazon Prime with Chromecast.

y'all know the 4K chromecast is about to be released in a couple of weeks right?
its supposed to be double the original chromecast--$69.
If 4K is important, you wont get that with a roku stick or firestick. you have to buy the full roku box or amazon box.
advantage would appear to favor the new chromecast here pricewise but not sure about specs yet.
i think its going to be announced at the google fest thingie this week.

also, voice control is frickING USELESS on amazon tv if you're running kodi.
it just exits out of kodi back to 'pay per view' amazon shite if you say a movie name for instance.
wish it would let me browse things in kodi via voice.
