We are looking into linking up three offices in the Prairieville/Baton Rouge area. We would have about 20 direct lines and would want to be able to transfer easily.
Anyone have suggestions?

How are these offices connected from a network perspective? How many end users/phones are we talking about?

I assume you are looking for a VOIP system since legacy phone is almost dead (so sad). I have experience with three VOIP systems; Mitel, Cisco, and ShoreTel. Here is my very brief summary of each:
Cisco - Most complex to deploy and manage but industry-leading technology, features and scalability. Configuration and troubleshooting info is easily available on the Cisco web site and many message boards. Depending on features, it can get pricey.
ShoreTel - Easily deployed and maintained but scaling up requires a lot of additional hardware. For 50 handsets or less, I liked it best. Relatively inexpensive for a small, basic deployment. If you add advanced reporting features, your cost will grow quickly.
Mitel - Lots of functionality but the management interface is really old-style so you may need some professional assistance to maintain. It's rock steady though and has a great reporting application. Base price is between ShoreTel and Cisco.
Just my experience. YMMV.

A good friend of mine has a business that does this in your area. He's very good and has clients like the City of Baton Rouge. I can pass along your contact info if you like.

We really don't share a network as far as documents, etc. It's basically 3 stand alone offices that have the same ownership. We are trying to get more things linked together starting with the phones. We have about 25 users.
My email is my username at yahoo for the person that said they had a contact.

Just do Cox Ipcentrex. No equipment and you lease the phones. They can configure where all three offices can be on the same system.

Shoretel
They will have there cloud and Hybrid systems available mid to late summer.
You wouldn't even need any on premise equipment.

No no no no no no no no NOOOOOO!
Whatever you do, do NOT do this. You will be highly disappointed. Cox just doesn't have it together with this product. Everyone I know that has gone this route has yanked it out within a year.
You'd be better off going through an actual company with a proven track record with these deployments like Gage or Executone rather than "a guy" that does it. Theyll be able to give you exactly what you want and should you need support, you've got a team of people that can help you.

This would be an enormous mistake. We are currently stuck with this product due to a shite contract, and I'm counting the days until it expires.

We have been using Ring Central for three years. It would link all three offices and provide centralized reception service among many other features.
