Best smartphone for 80 year old

My grandmother is losing her ability to drive and I want to set her up with Uber.
She currently has a jitterbug… I'm thinking about what cheap affordable smart phone would be easy for her to use, particularly for Uber. Literally just needs to text, call and uber I'm going to put her on my T-Mobile plan.
Also bought her an echo dot so she could do more things hands free.

Second the iPhone. If her vision is bad you can get the big one and jack up the font size. 6+'s are easy to find used for cheap.

Iphone seems like overkill for what she'll use it for when a $100+ android with a launcher for the visually impared will work.

My parents both have Iphones. Pretty cheap if you don't go with the latest version.

Agreed. A $70 HTC or Samsung will fit the bill just fine.
