I run an 800 series in my place with the same kinds of flooring.
If your rugs are dark, you'll have problems with the cliff sensors.

Had a neato and it messed up in a year. Got it replaced under warranty luckily and the new one broke after a year. Just said screw it and bought a new upright vacuum

Yes, I agree some of the older Roomba still do a great job and are still selling loads, I think it is because of what customer wants them to do. The more high-end Roomba tend to have more features, but this is mainly APP and mapping based. Some models like the iRobot 860 and 880 still do a great job with not a significant amount of differences between them. Like anything that new you pay more money for it. Worth checking the reviews sites before you put your hand in your pocket.

How do you think it would do with hair of three golden retrievers? Just curious to see if worth getting a Roomba.

I run an 800 series in my place. Hardwood floors with area rugs. I disabled the cliff sensors and it does fine.
Edit: Sorry, just noticed I replied to this thread twice. However, I found a permanent solution for disabling the cliff sensors since the first response. No more taping over them.

I have been very pleased with my Eufy.

I have a Roomba 800 series but I just don't think our house is well suited for it. It gets stuck on/over lots of stuff. We have heavy rugs.
Getting a Dyson v8, however, changed everything for us. Honestly I find it more convenient to use for a few minutes every couple of days than running the Roomba.

I got this ilife for hard wood and it's awesome. Cheap as shite. You can't control it from an app but I don't need it running when I'm not home.

FWIW, I love my Deebot. I have the basic model, N79S, and it works great on my hardwood floors. It's only $149 right now.

Still waiting on the Eufy 30C myself.
Read a review about the Roomba i7. That thing is the future with mapping and it empties it's own bin. You pay for it though retailing with everything together being about $1,000.
So maybe in 5 years there will be a reasonable model.

I got my iLife last year for Black Friday. He runs haphazardly all over the place and runs into things, but for $130, I can clean my hair out of the roller. I have to empty the dust pan anyways. We named him Eddie. It was a bit of a learning curve to figure out where he’d get stuck, but we know to close the doors to those rooms.
Live in a 1100 sq ft apt with wood and carpet. Eddie climbs over the thresholds into the rooms with carpet just fine.
