I'd like to enclose all my living room AV equipment and I'm thinking an IR to RF extender may be the way to go. Lots of options out there, anybody tried one they like?

I am looking at something similar. Wouldn't a Harmony remote negate the need?

Pro control
+1 I had it installed last month by sound advice in BR. I love it. Their programmer wrote a custom ipad app that works for COX, my sony blu ray, and my Denon receiver. I use the blu ray player for netflix, pandora etc. I have 2 zones one for my living room and one for my patio.
I have the ProLink.z product.

Harmony Smart Control
I have this and love it. I actually bought an IR extender to run into the cabinet to control tv and sound bar.
The remote controls the hub via RF and then the hub sends an IR signal to your devices. I have the hub in the cabinet with the cable box and ran the IR extender to my mantle to send the IR signal to the TV and soundbar. All wires are hidden and the IR blaster actually blends in with my soundbar so you don't even see it.
